Granny has a senior moment

Hello All.
What have I done?
What the HELL have I done?
I have been dumb, dumb, dumb.

My boss came through to me this morning and asked if I wanted to go out tonight.
Hastening to reassure me he wasn’t asking me out on a date.
Not that I thought he was!

Apparently, our company has been given an award for something or other.
By the bargaining council.
Whoever they are.
No-one here wanted to go.
Which should be a warning to me.

I phoned Mex and he agreed to go.
He hates going anywhere.
It’s amazing what the offer of free food and drink does.

It is a cocktail party.
I assume this means I can’t wear my jeans and a T.shirt.
I don’t own a dress.
Or a skirt.
Seriously, I do not have ONE dress in my wardrobe.
I do have some silky type pants.
They will have to do.
I AM going to wear sandals.
I think it is going to be as hot as Hades tonight.

On the upside….I should have something to tell you tomorrow.
