Yes, that is indeed Jasmine at the beach.
Mex and I took her down this morning.
We found a fantastic beach.
I am told it stretches for about 50kms.
I will take their word for it.
Jasmine was puzzled.
It didn’t look like her beach.
It didn’t smell like her beach.
It didn’t have kelp.
And the water was warmer.
She marked her territory umpteen times.
Even piddling IN the sea.
Maybe it will be more familiar next time.
Unfortunately, it is a good 25minute drive to get there so it will have to be weekend trips.
The light wasn’t too good for photography.
It didn’t stop me.
I took about thirty shots.
Which brings me to my title.
I needed to go to the beach to release my blogging.
The beach and my camera are essential for my inspiration.
Or lack thereof.
I have just had no inclination to blog.
Or eat.
Or read.
A really bad case of sense of humour failure.
Which is dreadful.
But, I think I am back.
It hasn’t helped that I picked up some sort of bug.
And spent four days feeling as if I had morning sickness.
I eventually went to the doctor.
And had blood taken.
Just as a check up.
On the 30th I go for a mammogram.
Watch this space.
You WILL hear all about it.
In conclusion…a pic I took in the garden the other day.
See you all soon.
Mwah.

It’s good to hear from you Gran. Hope everything goes well with your health. You still have a dry sense of humour, tho. And the pictures are perfect.
Thank you Seeker…I do hope I am back now…hate feeling out of it.
Wow, you are back on the blog – great. I hope the future will be great and that the mamo will not be bad news.
Thanks Newsey…just being a good girl and doing all the preventitive stuff…they had better not hurt me…I am going armed!
you were missed..but really worth waiting for!
what a pretty flower and butterfly…nature is indeed beautiful.
I have a boob sandwich every year (mammogram) just to make sure all is ok. It’s not the most jouous occassion having your boobs squashed but necessary and saves a lot of trouble.
You’ll be ok..I will pray about it
Thanks Patrecia…I haven’t had one for a few years…hope the people here are gentle.
I’m glad you are back. I’ve missed you. You take such splendid photos. The one with the butterfly is amazing. Jasmine looks happy on the beach. Too bad it’s so far away. But at least you’ve found a suitable beach for walks and inspiration. Don’t stay away too long.
Hi Maire…hopefully, I am back….nice to be missed. ๐
Your wish is my command Maire…have posted today.
I just love that cyclamen/butterfly pic – am feeling very wintry and blue myself, so it cheered me up. Sorry you’re in the dumps – sending you a cheering hug.
Hi Viv…I see above that it is called a Vinca.
Feel better soon.
Vinca as in periwinkle? I’ve posted a response to your complaint about the heat: http://vivinfrance.wordpress.com/2013/01/21/the-chain-gang/
Oh Viv…now you have me confused…I have NO idea.
On second thoughts, that’s probably not a cyclamen – they’re in season here, so couldn’t possible be in SA.
Great to see you here again, and so glad you’ve found a nice beach for Jasmine and your blogging inspiration. That’s a gorgeous butterfly pic. Hope you’re feeling much better soon. Hugs
Hi RD…yes …I am rather chuffed with that picture.
I hate it when my funny bone chakra is out of alignment or MIA. Life is better with laughter.
Welcome back.
Absolutely NR…mine is on it’s way back.
Glad to see you back. The butterfly pic is fantastic. The flower is a vinca. I bought 2 a few months ago but I think I watered them to death. Will try again in spring.
Hi Mara…I did not know it was called that…I just call it those pink flowers!
Jasmine looks like a happy puppy! A beautiful beach — can’t wait til I get to Mexico at the end of March. Sun, sand and sitting by the water! Hope all is well with you. Love the picture of the butterfly — I miss summer.
Hi KLRS…you can have our summer…I sure don’t want it.
Jasmine must have been very happy to see the sea and beach again. New puddles to explore and new smells to identify.
Sorry you’ve not been feeling well.
I have also been for my annual check up and am awaiting the results of various blood tests. Next will be the mammo, too. Ouch.
The flutterby looks lovely. ๐
Will let you know ALL about my mammo Pussycat…should put you off!
I’m scheduled for 31 January ๐ฆ
I am going on the 30th…just in time to scare the hell out of you. ๐
Great to hear from you ๐
Thanks Harry.
Looks like a gorgeous beach though ๐
It is stunning Hope….no mountains though.
We gonna have to help you find your mojo Granny!
Any help will be gratefully accepted Rumpy!
Good to see you drop into my mailbox ๐
Thanks Sue…good to be back.
I am sooo glad to see you didn’t drop off the face of the Earth! And yeah, I know lack of inspiration and will and sickness a little too well myself. Good to have you back. ๐
Thanks Morgue…must send you a mail on cats just now.
So glad you’ve found a beach for Jasmine. I worried that she was missing it.
And I’m glad you’ve found your mojo again. I’ve missed that, too ๐
Awwww…thanks Tilly…mojo not really back but I am trying.
Sorry to hear about the nausea – often, pain is easier to take!
I am sure Jasmine is now wondering why this is not a daily exercise, but the time and petrol would make it a teensy problem.
Hi Col…petrol a bit of a problem…not really time…however…don’t feel happy about going there when there are only a few people…damn the way things are going in this beautiful country.
Yes, being worried about safety all the time is a total pain.
Oh for the days when we didn’t even lock our doors.
Might be an idea to try that again. The hordes of criminal types would be convinced there was a catch in it somewhere, and run a mile.
Welcome back Granny! I lost my inclination too.. ๐
Hi Sweetdays…I see a notification in my mail so you must have got yours back…hope so…will be over later.
All the best for the mammogram.
Shhhhhhhhhh JM!!!
That looks like a California beach … beautiful, regardless of the light. Hope Jasmine gets to like her new beach and that your health is good.
Hi There Bud….wish I could go there durning the week but I don’t think it would be too safe.
Unfortunately I don’ have a beach either, but I feel so much better by the beach & it looks like you do too! Love days by the beach!
Hi Benze…I find the sea food for the soul.
Wonderful that you have found a beach that you and Jasmine can enjoy even if its not on weekdays. All the best for the mammo, I am also overdue for mine.
Don’t remind me Optie…am trying to blank it out.
Jas had a ball. that’s what counts ๐
Nooooooooooo….she doesn’t have balls.
shame now she’s got nothing to play with ๐
YAY .. you back!!!!
Where is the beach Granny ? (Just trying to picture it’s geography ;)) –
Luck with the sandwich m/chine! ๐
Hi Robyn….it is Maitland beach….just passed Seaview…quite stunning.
What a beautiful pic of the butterfly and flower! I’m sorry you caught a bug, that nasty thing must be traveling the globe – we’re having a flu epidemic here. Really nasty stuff this year. I’m glad you’re back, I missed you! Hope you feel better, both physically and mentally. Your sense of humor shines through even when you think it’s gone! ๐
Hi RD…I am feeling MUCH better.
At last you’re back. I have missed you so much, Gran. It’s so good to see you again. Good luck with the m…gram. I have never had one, coward that I am.
You just had to go and get yourself pregnant didn’t you?! And at your age, you should know better. ๐
Shhhhhhhhh….I was keeping it a secret!
