What a day it has been.
So far.
Starting with a call from the woman who has no transport.
This was last night.
She wanted a lift through to Fishhoek today.
Fishhoek is about ten kilometres from our village.
This is not a problem but it does mean I have to leave a bit earlier.
And I ran slightly late.
So I stressed a little.
HATE being late for work.
But I made it on time.
Then I had quite a load of work to do.
Because they pay me for that.
And then off to the airport to fetch Mex.
The traffic was hectic.
So I stressed a little that I would be late.
But I wasn’t.
Two lots of stress completely wasted.
Oh my title.
I nearly forgot.
How could I forget?
The friend who took me to Swaziland last year(twice) phoned me this morning.
She is sending her partner and her son to Swaziland for a week at the end of the month.
So….she said I must chose a weekend in March and she is taking me to a Spa.
The Spa is in Caledon which is about an hour and a half from here.
I can’t wait.
Wait a minute.
Am I crazy?
My DIL took me to a Spa once.
My first post on WordPress was about that weekend.
I don’t have time to get the link.
I think the post was called Tortured Granny.
Damn I am so dumb.
Why didn’t that come up as a link?
I was going to post about some of the experiences I have had in my seven years working here.
But now I don’t have the time.
Maybe tomorrow.
Remind me.

Enjoy it!
That remains to be seen Sarchasm…if nothing else…there should be a post in it.
Granny your a very busy person for an old lady 🙂
I told you before how to make a link 😦
I know Harry…I am such a silly old girl…can’t find where you explained it all to me.
So will you be going to the spa then granny?
*hugs*
Oh Yes HH….I won’t say no to a free weekend away…especial;ly as it will be my last chance before leaving.
I remember your “tortured granny” post. Spas are not my chosen places of comfort. Is it nice having Mex back home? xxx
Hi AD…yes it is nice to have him back…moans and all.
Had to follow the link to your first post. Now I know I have missed much by never going to a spa–other than the beautiful photograph!
Rushing around is no treat for those of us born in 1947! I hope your next spa treatment is more relaxing than vigorous.
Hi Marjulo….they won’t have the same thing at this Spa…and anyway…now I know what to expect!
Lawd, you wouldn’t get me to a spa even if you paid for it.
What I woud like, though, is a private cottage on the beach, plenty of people around to serve me food and drink. I wouldn’t mind a gentle massage from a hunk and a facial, mani and pedi by a friendly lady.
Hi Twolips…well this place is inland but it IS very pretty…and it has a casino!
MWA !have a great time at the spa, drink lots of bubbly and relax
I intend to Sidey…no painful massages…just relaxation…and maybe a facial.
you should have a massage, you have to learn to relax not tense up, but ask for the gentlest one and tell her to be her gentlest.
problem is to really feel great afterwards, yu have to go through ‘unknottng’ of overtensed muscles
Oooooh, lekker Granny! You are going to enjoy it at the spa and you deserve it. Lovely photo’s once again! Big hugs and smooches to you and Jasmine. 🙂 xxx
Morning Sonel(again)..see the pic of Jasmine today. 🙂
*alarmed* You are to be taken to the Spca? …
Oh, no. I see no c.
I would say the transport-bummer should be told to take a hike. Literally.
Hi col…am rapidly heading in that direction….getting a bit much.
Spa? Lucky granny says it all 🙂
I know Paul…I have such wonderful friends.
Thanks Pseu…did you read it?
I just read your first post on that African Rain spa treatment – that’s nuts! You couldn’t get me to do that, I’d probably have bitch-slapped the guy (am I allowed to say that?) and run for my life! LOL Maybe this new spa treatment will be more like rose petals and lotions rather than hell frozen, defrosted, and frozen again. I tell you what – give me a sweet cottage by a rambling stream and I’ll de-stress in five minutes. 🙂 Can’t wait to hear about it!
Hi RD…am sure it will be “interesting”
two lots of stress! so funny, you sound just like me. i stress and i do it out loud!
Hi Linda…I normally keep the stress in…could be why all these bugs keep visiting.
I bet Mex is happy to be HOME! Glad that you have a spa getaway to look forward to. 😀
Yes NR…think the old boy is VERY happy to be back.
Oh a spa would be so good. What a great treat for you, Gran! You deserve every second of pampering…you who leaves home early on a work day to drive someone miles off the beaten path!
I hope Tom remembers…
Nope Souldipper…Tom can be an idiot…he did try to sneak in…and got chased out.
don’t forget to tell us about your last seven years at work…you did say to remind you!!! 🙂
Thanks for the reminder Ruth…it will have to wait until tomorrow or Tuesday…have to do the award thingy first.
A spa weekend to look forward to – lovely. Just don’t opt for the African Rain thing!
I want a friend who takes me on holiday and to a spa! *sulks*
What can I say Sue….am very,very lucky.
Granny, I also felt you deserve the Awesome Blog Content Award. 🙂

*big hugs*
Thank you so much Sonel…am hoping to give it a bash later.
Terrific post, Granny!
I love the title!
Just read that earlier post Granny. Hope it’ll be different for you this time. And as you say..at least you’ll be prepared this time.:-)
