Hello All.
So…onto the wedding.
It was great.
Incredible setting.
Fantastic weather.
And loads of lovely people.
One of my blogger friends was staying the night with me.
She read the invitation.
I didn’t.
I had bought a rather nice pair of evening pants.
She pointed out that the invitation said casual.
So I went in jeans.
And just as well.
The happy couple arrived in shorts, t.shirts and flops.
There was a lot of emotion.
And happy tears.
I love both the boys to bits and it warmed my heart to see how happy they were.
Simon and Mike, may you have many happy years together.
And a better track record than me.
It was my first gay wedding.
And I loved it.
No-one was pretentious.
Just lots and lots of love.
And kisses and hugs.
From complete strangers.
I am a kissy, huggy sort of person.
So, I loved it.
Mex would have had a heart attack!
The food was great.
And we sat outside so I could smoke.
The only thing that threw me was the D.J.
Who was a drag queen.
I wanted to take a picture for you guys but I thought he might hit me with his handbag.

I would have love to see the picture of the DJ. Congratulations to Mike and Simon. And thank you for updating us with the wedding.
I think there is a picture of “her” on Mike’s FB.
We’re going to one in August, so I hope it’s as nice as this one.
I hope so too Viv….I am so glad I went to this one.
Never mind the handbag! What if he hits you to death with is powderpuff?
that could really sore!
Hey Krag…great to see you here. Are you still blogging?
Sounds like a lovely wedding. The photos are lovely. It does look quite informal. I’ve never been to a gay wedding. I would have taken a photo of the DJ. I don’t think he would have minded. The drag queens I’ve met love attention. I don’t don’t know why. I’m so glad you had a good time.
Thanks Maire…it was really super.
All the Drag Queen DJ’s I know adore being photographed.
Sounds like a FUN time.
Flip flop weddings are the BEST.
I agree NR…I was sorry I didn’t wear mine!
Glad to hear you had such a great time – it sounds like it was a very relaxed wedding, which are always more enjoyable; everyone can be themselves.
Well, Barb, I thoroughly enjoyed it all.
Sounds great and the place looks gorgeous. All weddings should be filled with such warmth and love, too many are overly pretentious. Many blessed years to the happy couple!
Thanks RD… I am sure they will read my post..eventually…they are getting married again in America next week..in church…they will probably lose the flops.
Sounds wonderful!
It was JM… 🙂
Can’t imagine you letting a little handbagging stop you 🙂
What can I say…must be getting mellow in my old age!
😀
The bandhag might have hit you with a handbag?
Seems like a fabulous occasion, and the setting is wonderful.
The setting was incredible and the weather perfect…all good.
I’m sure the DJ wouldn’t have minded, Gran. So glad you enjoyed yourself.
At least the wedding wasn’t boring!
Nope…it was all good.
By all accounts it was a very special occasion. Drag queens love having their picture taken, by the way. Love you xxx
Love you too girl.
Merry Christmas my friend!
You too Rumpy!!
Sounds like the guys concentrated on the important things and not unnecessary fripperies like at so many modern weddings. Glad you enjoyed it.
It was the most laid back wedding I have ever been to.
