Granny tries again

Hello All.

Well, I have downloaded Chrome.
So far so good.
Hope it keeps on working.
Now I must go and uninstall Firefox.

We spent the whole morning in the bank and buying bits and pieces for the house and flat/room.
Then I came home and fed the old people.
And washed a mountain of dishes.
Now I have the first drawer full of cutlery soaking in boiling hot water.
There are two more to go.
I see a big toss out coming up soon.

I am not sure who is going to be the biggest problem.
I think it is going to be my brother.
He has diabetes.
And constantly eats sweets, cakes and cooldrinks.
I have to watch him like a hawk.
Don’t know what is going to happen when I start work.
He is not at the stage of injections.
Yet.

Oh yes….posted the above pic for old times sake.
My last day on the beach.
It was incredible.
I want to go back.
Sob.

Let me see if I can upload a pic of the scenery here.

Not quite the same,is it?
It is a wildflower reserve so it might improve in spring.
Watch this space.

Mother had her pedicure.
Said it was wonderful.
Has not said thank you!
Insert mild swear word here.

Now the cutlery awaits.
And supper has to be cooked.
And I need to find a nice spot in the garden.
To eat worms.

Still haven’t answered your comments.
Will really try tonight.
Love you all.

  1. No, not quite the same at all. How does Jasmine feel about the lack of seaweed? Things have to change. You sound like a serving wench. ;( Hugs xx

  2. Not the same, but different can be beautiful too – hang in there and it will all get better ( – because you’re a fighter and you won’t stop until it does! ) Moving is such a pain in the butt no matter what the circumstances.

  3. Different, but still pretty, just in a, well, different sort of way! 🙂 Nature is beautiful to me no matter what form it takes (except for spiders….there’s nothing attractive about spiders…. ::shudder::). I think it’ll be gorgeous in spring/summer when those wildflowers are in bloom.

It’s one of those deep injustices that really bothers me when people – family or not – don’t appreciate all the care and hard work you do *for their benefit*. Most people aren’t lucky enough to have a caring, wonderful daughter like you – they should be on their knees thanking the Almighty for you every single day. You are truly a blessing.

  4. Old folk can get funny that way. It’s almost like they’re telling you it’s your duty. Been there, done that. I hope I will have learned a lesson and not become like that.
I’m sure you miss the sea 😦

  5. You sound better today. Yay! The scenery is certainly different but spring sounds promising and you will find a pretty beach soon.

  6. I am sure you and Jasmine will find a stunning beach soon. Looks so open and clean there hon. I can only imagine what it will look like in Spring. Can’t wait to see those photo’s. 🙂
Know I am thinking of you and wishing you the best always.
*big hugs and lots of love* to you, Jasmine and Tom.
    MWAH! xxx

  7. Fabulous last beach photo! Nice photo of the new place too, but I agree it’s not quite as nice as the beach.
Hope you found your nice spot in the garden – but not to eat worms, maybe to sit for 10 minutes with a coffee (or something stronger}.

  8. Granny, with that eye of yours, beauty is just waiting for your camera and your discovery.

So glad you are not being taken hostage by an elder. As much as they are the apple of my eye, those old folk, I also know they are honorary graduates of Manipulation 101. Most of them could not have thrived if they hadn’t learned many tricks.

Even my dear ol’ mom used to try things out! Even post-stroke!

The more your folks and bro do for themselves, the better they will feel. Protest is good for the blood pressure! 😀

My blogging is blotchy and comments are sporadic. It’s the best I can do right now – but more on that later.

    Love you lots, Granny.

  9. I’m left wondering whether YOU got ALL the common sense in your family. Glad you’ve managed to post some photos.

    Keep breathing!

  10. No, the scenery doesn’t quite compare, does it. Still you will find other aspects of it to fascinate.
I don’t uninstall. I use whichever one of Internet Explorerer, Chrome, Firefox or Opera which is giving the best operation.
