What has happened to me?
I have become a part-time blogger.
This is so not me.
And this is going to be a short post too.
It is nine o’clock and I haven’t packed yet.
I haven’t done my nails.
In fact, I haven’t accomplished much of anything.
Tomorrow we head off to our Spa weekend.
And I can’t wait.
It has been a dreadful week at work.
I really am counting the days to leaving now.
And I have always loved my job.
Now I am startingย to hate it.
It is not the job.
I have no problem with that.
But certain things have happened.
Things I find unethical.
I have a feeling I might just go out with a bang.
Guess that is better than a whimper.
Yesterday was a holiday.
I spent most of the day packing bits of glass and crystal.
And wondering why I was doing it.
Then, just as I was going to take Jasmine to the beach, a friend arrived.
Armed with a bottle of good wine.
Which was empty when she left.
It was a good visit.
Also, my son came around to install a stove for the new owner.
And put ours in the garage.
I mentioned that we were now using the beautiful double bed.
Yesterday, I gave it to my son.
And we hauled the king size bed back in.
And we both had a great night’s sleep.
Even if we did have to sms each other to say goodnight!
There is nothing to beat plenty of space.
Mex had a cancerous thingy cut out of his chest on Monday.
Fortunately, not a spreading type of cancer.
But it is a beaut of a cut.
It was done under local so Mex took himself along.
Though I DID offer.
He is either very brave or very stubborn.
Wait…we are talking about the man who is terrified of geckos.
And little frogs.
And spiders.
And we won’t even mention snakes.
So…he must be stubborn.
I would have insisted on being taken.
I would have asked for a wheelchair.
I would have milked it for all it was worth!
So now I am off to throw a few things in a bag.
Pack my camera.
So I can share the experience with all of you.
Watch this space.

We are watching the space to see what you do next. Sorry the job is becoming a bore, but as you say not long now before you are off to pastures new. ๐
Hi Judith…thought I would be sad to go but now I am not so sure.
I will be waiting ๐
Hehehe Harry….will try to make the wait worthwhile!
Mex is very brave. Have a great spa weekend, granny. Hugs xx
Oh AD….three hours to go…sigh
Sounds like you’re leaving your job at just the right time.
Mex is definitely brave – if anyone pointed any needles at me, they’d have had to tie me down! Ack!!!!
Have a wonderful spa weekend – can’t wait to hear the details! ๐
Yes RD….think my season here is over.
Aha, enjoy spa!
Is it your intention to speak rather frankly upon leaving the work scene? A nice blowup, and then leave them to deal with the fallout.
Next time someone comes bearing wine, Jasmine may well bite them.
Hi Col…she was NOT a happy dog…did make it up to her last evening though.
Oh, goodl But now she is about to be deprived again.
Definitely leave work with a bang. It’s so satisfying.
Enjoy the spa weekend.
Hi Twolips…they are pushing my buttons…there is an explosion pending.
I’m a part time blogger as well at the moment, Granny47 … I just buried my dad … Don’t feel much of anything right now … Wishing you well though, my friend. Love, cat. (http://catsruledogsdroole.blogspot.com/)
Oh hugs and warm wishes go out to you from NZ. I know how hard it is to lose one’s Dad. ๐
Oh Dear Cat…I am SO sorry.
Much love.
p.s.
I have tried to comment on your post but after FIVE attempts to copy those darn words I gave up…I must be a robot.
A few of us are other-than-daily bloggers, Granny, but someone has to give the world a rest.
Boy , health issues abound. Hope Mex heals quickly.
I had my ultrasound today. I never knew that cysts are hollow and filled with fluid. And benign. That’s the difference between a cyst and a lump. I envision my lumps as hollow. The evidence just has to agree!
Don’t pack any empties! ๐
Great news Souldipper….I have been gently worrying about you!
Enjoy the weekend.
Thanks Newsy….I intend to do just that!
Enjoy the spa day. Remember the ouches in massage are getting rid of the knots that make you feel old
Hi Sidey…no-one is going to massage my old bones…they just might break!
A facial would be nice though.
its the muscles that get and need the massage ๐
Oh, you are hilarious Granny! I enjoyed your post. Can’t wait for the beautiful photo’s you’re going to share. Enjoy!
*hugs* to you and Jasmine.
Hmmmm Sonel…there will be photos…don’t know if they will be beautiful.
It IS a lovely part of the world.
Your photo’s are always beautiful Granny. ๐
Have a wonderful wonderful spa weekend granny. Love you xxx

Thanks Colleen…do hope your mouth is on the way to recovery!
Enjoy, Gran! You absolutely deserve a wonderful time. โฅ
Thanks Adee…roll on three o’clock!
