Granny and one more day

Good Morning All you good people.

No walk today.
Jasmine might have blown out to sea.

So tomorrow is the official shutdown date.
We go off at about twelve for the Xmas function.
I dread it.
You spend the whole year interacting with people.
Then, on the last day you have to EAT with them!
Someone had better keep all knives away from me.
My fuse is is now non exsistent.
I shall eat and run.
Let me rephrase that.
I shall eat and drive.

I am not even attempting to get my staff to work today.
It would be a lost cause.
Mind you…there is next to nothing for them to do.
I, on the other hand, have loads to do.
There is something wrong with this picture.

Before I leave tomorrow I want to polish my desk.
The poor thing deserves it.
It has not seen the light of day for months.
I subscribe to “a clean desk is a sign of a sick mind”

And now back to that four letter word.

  1. Himself had to attend his first staff Xmas Lunch last week, he hates them with a passion! We used to give our staff the money and they were much happier and so were we!

    • Morning Supa…I would have been SO happy if our crowd had just given us the money.

  2. Where are you having the Xmas lunch this year?

    • Hi Cindy…At the Fishmarket in Steenberg…apparently quite good…

      • Very nice!

      • This comment ended up in my spam!!!!!

  3. I’m so glad I missed ours this year. I could probably count the people on one hand who I would like to socialise with.

    • Oh Gosh …me too…it has been a long year.

  4. Is there really anyone on this planet who enjoys staff parties? Especially if we have leadership roles? Thank goodness I don’t have to do one this year. Yay!!!

  5. I never liked work parties either; to me, it’s just more work with more challenges thrown in. I’d rather have the time off! My daughter is VERY social and doesn’t mind them so much. This year her company’s Christmas party is at a country club, and she’s actually looking forward to it. As similar as we are in many ways, we couldn’t be more different in that way!

    • Hi again RD…I bet you get on very well with your daughter…not good if we are too similar!
