Granny is back up.

Hello All.
You will be pleased to hear that the pity party is over.
The problems are all still there but I have decided to hell with them.
My father always said(well he said it once) if you owe money don’t worry.
The person you owe the money to is worrying.
No sense in both of you worrying.
I don’t think this actually applies to the Receiver of Revenue.
I don’t think HE is losing any sleep.
However, the principle applies.

The good news is that I got through the day without killing anyone.
Though, it WAS close.

We have closed down one of our production lines at work.
My boss decided I could take some of the staff so they did not have to be retrenched.
I love the idea that, deep down, he has a heart.
However, I have inherited four of these staff members.

The first one is the singing wonder.
She who blames everyone else when she makes a mistake.
And she makes plenty of them.
She would,happily, stick a knife in my back.
And she has tried.
Not literally, you understand.
I am slowly licking her into shape.
I think.

Two are big fat Momma’s who have been doing NOTHING for almost a year.
This is a very hard habit to break.
They keep taking protracted toilet breaks.
I am, constantly, looking for them.
I have positioned them at a workbench right in front of me.
So I can keep an eye on them.
Today I had to watch one of them picking her nose.
I have them counting stock.
I have to keep sending them back to do recounts.
They are not stupid.
Just unbelievably lazy.
I think I am getting an ulcer!

The fourth one is a shop steward.
She is always out doing union business.
I have almost given up on her.

Now….do you get an idea of my stress levels??????

So…the only way is up.
Right?
Please say yes.

By the way…I am overwhelmed by all the comments of support.

Oh yes…the photo was taken in a shopping centre in Muizenburg.
Wherever one is in Cape Town there are mountains.
Mex hates them.
Says they get in the way of the view.
What can I say?
