So….on Thursday I woke up and thought “yippee, I am better”
Went off happily to work.
Even stopped on the way to take the above photo.
In the afternoon I went off to the airport and collected Mex.
He was so happy to be home.
On Friday morning I woke up and thought WTF?
The tummy bug was back.
And he brought all his friends and family.
Nausea, problem tummy and aching joints.
Oh yes…and cold sweats.
I went off to work unhappily.
And came home in the afternoon.
Mex was very good to me.
Though I DID hear him mutter that he thinks I am allergic to him.
By yesterday the bug had migrated to my kidneys.
I decided NOT to go and see sexy Doc.
Hell I have used up most of my medical aid already.
So I am dosing myself with massive doses of Cranberry juice.
And loads of honey.
And garlic.
Vampires beware.
I am feeling marginally better this morning.
In fact I intend dragging myself off to the beach just now.
I NEED my beach.
So does Jasmine.
I phoned Wendy yesterday.
Just for a chat.
Which was just as well.
She arrives this afternoon.
And I thought it was next week.
I am so happy she is coming.
Which is selfish.
I am not the one who has to have the chemo.
Later today I must try to do the accepting of award thingy.
Because I promised Souldipper.
Now Sonel has given me one too.
I see on hers I have to mention things about me from a to z.
Oh brother.
Anyway,watch this space.
The guinea fowl are making a racket.
The sun is coming up.
The wind hasn’t woken yet.
The beach is calling.
I will be back.
And I’m back.
And it was amazing.
My soul has been fed.
As we were leaving Jasmine came up from the dunes.
With a breadroll in her mouth.
It must have been stale.
Cos she buried it.
Now I know very few people read the blogs on a Sunday.
So I could be just chatting away to myself.
But that’s ok too.
Have a great day everyone.

I think you need to send that bug far far away for ever

Wow, Granny – what a fabulous shot on the first photo…just WOW!
Glad you are improving – that bug is not just in S. Africa. It’s modus operandi is to return which is why it doesn’t pay to rally too early.
You’ll do fine on adding the awards.

No, you’re not blogging to yourself. I’m here. I had that bug thing last weekend. I had chills so bad Saturday night so bad I went to bed wearing my fur lined hoodie and a jacket, my teeth were chattering so. It lasted about 4 days. I was miserable. I hope you are feeling better now. The photo of Jasmine and the roll is adorable.

That one definitely qualifies for an ‘ger’ on the end.
No, it was fresh so she buried it. It needs to mature.

Aww Granny I’ve also had a stomach bug over the last couple of days. I think it’s gone and then it returns. Worst thing is we are in France. I hate being ill when I’m not in my own home. Hope you feel better soon

I had that stomach thing in December and got more familiar with the toidie than I ever thought was possible. I thought I was gonna turn myself inside out. At one point I just took my pillow and blankie and curled up in the tub. Bah. Hope you crush that bug and throw it out the door. Your beach pictures are lovely. Take care Granny.

I may not read blogs on Sundays, but I always catch up during the week! LOL I hope you’re feeling MUCH better now, Granny, and that you’re enjoying Wendy’s visit. That bug seems to be circling the earth – tons of people here have gotten it too. Seems like an extra nasty one this year.

I hope the bug soon will stop bugging you. Doesn’t sound particularly fun. When I look at the beach picture with all the birds, I certainly understand why you need it. It looks gorgeous. A great photograph!
