Hello All.
So,yesterday, I picked up the six year old(who I thought was seven) and dropped her at home.
I don’t mind.
Small doses of a six year old are fun.
We play ” I spy”
This has become more interesting now she has learned to spell.
We got held up in traffic so when I got home I loaded Jasmine in the car and we headed for the beach.
After boasting, in my previous post, about our wonderful warm weather, I discovered that the promised coldfront was arriving a little early.
I walked very briskly.
So did Jasmine.
Though her briskness came from pure joy.
When we got to the end of the beach I spotted a dead seal coming in and out with the waves.
I stood for ages watching.
And hoping I was wrong.
But it was definitely dead.
Now I KNOW this happens.
We all have to go sometime or other.
But this was a youngish seal.
The fishing boats have been in the bay for the last couple of days.
Those bastards hack at the seals.
I have ranted about this before.
It just make me so mad.
And sad.

I have just had to deal with a moron.
A lazy moron.
One of those people who,no matter how slowly and clearly you explain something, just won’t see it.
Because it involves work.
Ohm, ohm, ohm.
Nope…it isn’t working.
Maybe, throwing a stapler will do the trick.
Maybe it IS time for me to retire.

Joburg weather has been very fickle – some spring days and then bitter cold days. Urgh.
Throw the stapler – more satisfying.

Sad about the seal.
We had a baby whale washed up on the beach a couple of days ago, no injuries. They think it had got separated from it’s mother and died of starvation. It always makes me cry.

Oh Dear Barb.
We had 55 pilot whales beach themselves on our beach.
One of the saddest days of my life.

Some people are so thoughtless and evil. What purpose would it serve to kill that poor seal. Obviously they didn’t even eat it. They should be made to cradle it like a baby and look into it eyes and sing to it. Maybe then it would touch their evil soul.

They don’t want the seals near their fish Linda.
They forget who was there first.

That is so sad about the seal. It angers me that people are so cruel to animals.

Lovely photos, especially the second one.
I can’t stomach the cruelty of some humans toward animals, and the total disregard for life in whatever form it takes. So sad about the seal.

Sorry it’s cold there too, Gran. Never mind it’s nearly spring… Poor seal. It makes me feel so sad that people can be like that.

It’s so disheartening that some of the fisherman can be so cruel. Poor seal.
I’m glad Jasmine enjoyed the walk. Perhaps the coolness in the air gave her an extra bit of energy.

Hi EC…am sure the coolness had some effect but she radiates joy when she is on the beach.

Just suffered a heart plunge. YUK! The Guides tell us, Granny, that when we pass over, we are shown all we’ve done and we have to feel the feelings of all who suffered under our actions. So here’s a whole string of “feelers” that those blokes will have to feel over their insensitivity and cruelty.

that makes me feel better Souldipper….now let me think back and see what feelers I will have!!!

Put away the stapler Granny ! far too dangerous – you need to surreptitiously cover the ear piece of his telephone in vaseline – very irritating and melts all over everything – and no one can prove who did it!! and it should keep him busy and out of your hair for a bit while he cleans it all up! (Hey, I work with IT techs – they’re extremely inventive!!)
PS – look who’s back : http://blondieblog2.wordpress.com/
PPS – any idea what happened to Half Pint?

Hi Wolf…I have sent her an e-mail…I will let you know.
Thanks for the head’s up on Blondie…will go and visit.
I love the vaseline idea….he is such a slimey individual he probably wouldn’t notice.
